<Visual Journalism> Week 5 progress documentation

After last week’s proposal, I am working on visualizing the data I found from the government and present it in Observable. I first cleaned up the data and translated it to English so readers can understand it. Consider that the numbers of the married and divorced are not related, I made this two data into two different charts.

and for the visual, I am inspired by the layout of New York Times, which contains huge contrast of image and text and a clean visual style.

Second part of my visualization will be a graphic presentation of life of a Taiwanese LGBTQ person, discussing how environment changes after the legalization and the limitation of the law.

The visual plan is inspired by Apple’s WWDC 2013 intro video, which use animated dots to symbolize human. by Achieving this visual style, I want to convey the story clearly and not to limit the experience in certain gender.
